New Month (Lets get our Vote on)
Heya folks :) First off I want to thank everyone who took the time to vote last month, I certainly do appreciate it. August was one of the best months we had vote wise, we ended up at #18 on the Top200 site with 162 votes. The Extreme Top100 we ended up down around #94 with 171 votes, but that site is quite a bit more popular as far as voting goes. Lets look at the difference for a moment between how these 2 sites affected people coming here. Being on the front page of the Top200 for most of the month generated 1142 hits to these forums where as being way down on the second page of Top100 only generated 245 hits to these forums. As you can see being on the front page has a great impact on the number of people we have coming to check us out. The #50 spot on the Top100 (last listing on the front page) had 435 votes and approx 1600 hits to their site compared to our 245 hits. The listing on the Top200 site with about that number of votes was #8 on the list and they had over 2000 hits to their site. As you can see voting helps immensly in drawing people to our server. Now I know everyone is not going to vote every single day but I do believe we can do alot better than we have been. Especially considering I get 4 votes most weekdays (2 @ home, 1 @ work, 1 @ wifes work) and 2 votes every weekend day. That totals about 102 votes just from my wife and I last month, now I know I missed a few myself but not all that many did I miss, maybe 10 or 12. I would just like to see our population continue to grow as Im sure you all would and I dont know of a better way to make that happen than by voting every chance you get. Lets see if we can double our votes this month, it would only take about 10 votes a day other than what I am voting. That doesnt seem like all that many considering we have well over 50 ppl a day logging into the server to play it only takes just a couple of minutes to vote.
